Hey everyone!
Very exciting news! GUARD Dogs has finally moved into the new office. We are now located behind Whitney (in East). It's a great space and we are so happy to finally have a place to call GUARD Dogs' own. We thank Steve Kremer and his crew so much for their endless help on our project. I encourage everyone to pick up a shift soon to see the new office. I hope this office will become a place for everyone from GUARD Dogs to relax before they have to work and just hang out with other members. We have a tv and dvd player and we are working towards getting a fridge and microwave. It's going to be great!
So in case you are working soon or just want to stop by during the night--
walk over to east, walk under the stone tunnel between Holcolmb and Whitney, walk down the stairs, and make a right. There you will find the new home of GUARD Dogs.

GUARD Dogs Executive Weekend
Hey Guys,
This weekend will be our Executive Weekend. That means every member from the Executive Committee will be working throughout the weekend (9/12-9/13). We hope that this will allow us to learn more about our process and improve upon our program. We also want to get out there and meet more of you! So we encourage you to stop by the office and eat some of our food that was kindly donated to us from Ted's.
We also just opened up more dates to sign up to work. Please start signing up. This program relies on you! We are all working together to help our community and that is something very impressive for students.
Keep up the great work.

Training Session Thursday 9-11-2008
6:30. Student Union Room 304B. New volunteers and interested persons are invited to our first training session! There will be other sessions throughout the semester for those who are unable to attend. If you cannot make it to this first session and are already signed up to work a shift, you can email guarddogs@gmail.com to set up a brief training the evening of your shift. If you have never been to a training session before, but have worked a shift, we would still like for you to attend. Thank you all so much and we can't wait to see you there!

Start of the Semester
Welcome back everyone!
I hope everyone had a great summer. We are about to start the fall semester with a bang. This Friday and Saturday (8/29, 8/30) we will be running from 11pm until 3am. We are testing out our new hours. We hope with this new change we will be able to help more students arrive home safely.
I encourage everyone to spread the word about GUARD Dogs. We are the only student-run, free, safe, non-judgmental ride home offered at UCONN. Please sign up for shifts, sign up as a member, and get your friend to sign up! As students we all should work together to help each other out. That's exactly what we do here at GUARD Dogs.
We have already saved over 6500 lives--imagine what is possible for this year.
